Artist and craftsmen have been finding inspiration in Brown County, Indiana for years, and Amy Greely is another former city-dweller whose innate talents and remarkable creativity have blossomed in this quaint, artistic haven of the Midwest.

A jewelry artist by trade and nature lover at heart, Amy studied sculpture at the Herron School of Art and Design, Indianapolis, and metalsmithing at Indiana University in Bloomington.  Much of what makes Amy's pieces so distinctive is her application of various textures and patinas inspired by personal reflections and small glimpses of the wider world. "There's an innate contrast between hard metals and nature we see every day. But when characteristics like the texture of a leaf or sea shell, a rusty fence or the bark of a tree are brought into sharper focus, they all become inspiration and works of incredible beauty, "Amy explains. "My work is reminiscent of the subtle variations that create the rich textures of our daily lives."

A dedicated and passionate artist, Amy has woven her professional interest in metalsmithing and her inherent love of nature into jewelry that her customers view as bold, contemporary, and beautiful, yet simple in form. "I view jewelry as super small works of art," Amy says with her personable smile. "Each piece is a tiny body sculpture that helps communicate personal sensibilities to the wearer."

As Amy's reputation has steadily grown, she has trademarked the name "Mon Amie" for her lightweight, highly textured pieces. She also creates larger upscale pieces appealing to a wide range of clientele. Both lines are represented by a growing number of respected galleries and stores nationwide.
